Depresson Linked To Arthritis Later, Study Suggest

Researchers observed data collected from over 4,000 women and men over age 50 from a 2011 to 2014 National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey. Those surveyed were screened for depressive symptoms and self-reported doctor-diagnosed arthritis. The study showed that 55 percent of those experiencing minor depression also had an arthritis diagnosis, while 62.9 percent of people with moderate depression and 67.8 percent of people with severe depression also receiving a diagnosis of arthritis.
