migraines

The Migraine Research Foundation wants everyone to understand that “migraine is not just a bad headache.” In fact, it reports, the migraine is a widespread neurological disease, affecting 39 million men, women, and children in the U.S. and 1 billion worldwide. Migraine.com explains that “migraines are characterized by severe head pain often accompanied by other symptoms, which can be disabling in nature,” including nausea, vomiting, difficulty speaking, numbness or tingling, and sensitivity to light and sound. Migraines can affect people of all ages and often go undiagnosed in young children.
